LA1 Pile Load Tests are Underway

Photo 1: A 1,200 ton jack being set into place to test piling.

Photo 2: Special casings are installed prior to the load test so that storm
scour can be accounted for in the pile design.

Photo 3: Careful survey control is required to measure pile deflections during the test.
