Construction nears completion of the new Tomey J. Doucet Bridge, named in memory of the
former Greater Lafourche Port Commission president, who also helped to create the LA 1 Coalition.
The LA 1 Coalition is one of the few business groups formed to specifically promote and bring focus to
building a major highway project.
